Animus Japonica™ is a sovereign engineering and cross-cultural practice integrating classical mechanics with digital systems. Rooted in over three decades of experience in R&D engineering, precision toolmaking, automotive OEM prototyping, Class-A surfacing, and systems analysis/auditing/improvement, we resolve the structural friction between concept and execution. We do not provide commodity subcontracting; we engage exclusively in peer-level collaborative problem-solving.
Grounded in the dual Swiss VPET apprenticeship model synthesizing theory and practice, achieving rigorous precision mastery in dimensional/geometric tolerance control (GD&T), machine tool design and operation, and industrial production processes. Combined with decades of Mechatronics Engineering enterprise practice, this foundation forged extensive real-world expertise in prototype development, production stamping dies, and precision jig engineering. Today, this enables translating theoretical CAD geometry into physical manufacturing viability (DFM), administrating quality control systems, and auditing operational and administrative workflows.
Backed by over 12 years in advanced R&D for major domestic automotive OEMs, delivering advanced Class-A surfacing, technical modeling, and digital visualization. Leveraging deep engineering expertise, acting as a dedicated consultant bridging the empirical realities of production with the conceptual exercise of design to aesthetically translate ideas into reality.
As a polyglot with a multi-ethnic background and decades of international experience, I bridge technical engineering with cultural nuance across 4 languages (Japanese, English, Portuguese, Spanish). Beyond literal translation, I evaluate technical documentation, navigate complex negotiations, and align communication from executive leadership to ground-level operators through an evidence-based approach.
Engineering-led vehicle and machinery sourcing grounded in direct physical diagnostics at Kansai port yards (Kobe/Osaka). Leveraging 30+ years of automotive engineering experience as our ultimate differentiator—providing not merely a sourcing service, but authoritative technical due diligence and procurement advisory.

With roots in both Japan and Europe, I have been imbued with the cultural values of both worlds since my youth. Being a polyglot has afforded me, throughout my more than 30-year career, the ability to communicate and interact effectively with multinational engineering teams across the Orient, Europe, and the Americas, grounded in broad cultural understanding.
An early fascination with machinery, vehicles, and vessels developed not merely into knowledge, but into a deep sense of intuitive belonging. From manual transmission cars and trucks to motorcycles before electronic systems and then fully electric vehicles took hold, and sailing which relies solely on the dynamics of wind and tides; my experience controlling mechanical power and physical laws through my own bodily senses forms a solid foundation for my work in automotive engineering and precision design.
Furthermore, my choice to diligently pursue traditional Japanese disciplines (Kenjutsu, Iaido, Sado), guided by my roots, is no coincidence. Rather than succumbing to superficial exoticism or formal beauty, their underlying philosophy and empirical thinking form the unchanging backbone of complex technical development and decision-making.
